Daveis Sanctuary

Located off Seashore Avenue near Reed Street in the northeast area of Peaks Island, this parcel is adjacent to Skillings Woods. The Sanctuary is made up of four parcels separated by residential properties. The site is bordered by the ocean along its eastern boundary.

Highlights of this preserve include:

·       Low elevation Spruce-Fir covers a little more than half of this parcel.

·       One wetland is located within the Daveis Sanctuary property, the Red Maple Swamp. This wetland community is in the northern parcel, east of Reed Avenue.

·       Beautiful views of Casco Bay from the shoreline of Daveis Sanctuary, especially at sunrise.
